Complete the Sale
At the end of a successful auction, completed auction notices are sent from OnlineAuction.com to both the buyer and seller, to their personal/ISP E-Mail address. This message includes a link for returning to OnlineAuction.com to finish the transaction. Always check your O-Mail Inbox upon logging into the site.
Who Contacts Whom?
It’s normal for the seller to initiate contact with the buyer, (best within a day or two) but it’s not a rule carved in stone. Many buyers make first contact and anxiously start the deal rolling.
When You’re the Seller
Visit your Auction Manager, hover over the auction type that the auction is listed under, and click on "Sold". Each of your sold auctions is listed by auction number. Find the auction and click on the "O-Mail" link which will open a message window. Enter your message to the buyer, which should include the auction number, total item price including the shipping and insurance if desired. Also, include your address where the payment should be mailed to. This should be the same mailing address you provided as your contact information on your "Member Information Page" when you initially signed up. It’s a good idea to remind the buyer to note the Item number with payment. Check the message and click "Send" and it goes directly to the Buyer’s O-Mail Inbox.
When You’re the buyer
Visit your Auction Manager, hover over "Buyer Hub" and click on "Completed". Each of your completed auctions will be listed by item number. Find the auction and click on the "O-Mail" link which will open a message window. Enter your message to the seller giving the item number, verifying your high bid, requesting the total item price with shipping and insurance and include your shipping address. When you are satisfied with the message, click "Send". It goes directly to the seller’s O-Mail Inbox.
Buyer Sends Payment
Once contact has been initiated and shipping and payment terms are agreed upon, the buyer initiates the next step by sending payment to the seller’s specified payment address. The buyer should notify the seller when payment has been sent.
Seller Receives Payment, Sends Item and Posts Feedback
The seller should notify the buyer upon receiving the payment, taking time to carefully package the merchandise (as accidents can happen during shipping) and ship the item to the buyer. The seller should then take the steps necessary to post Positive Feedback for the buyer.
Buyer Receives Item and Posts Feedback for the Seller
Upon receiving the item, the buyer should inspect it. Based on satisfaction, the buyer visits their "Completed" auctions file in their Auction Manager and posts positive feedback for the seller.
Not Every Deal Ends Perfect
