1971 Winnebago Chieftain Brave Motor-home Sleeps 6
Painted like a Jack-o-Lantern

This is a 23 foot motorhome. We bought it about 2 years ago, fixed it up, drove it to another state, LIVED in it for several months (2 adults and a teenager) and it has been sitting ever since.

We paid $800 for it and have done a LOT of work on it. We have put about $4,000 into it including the fridge, Window AC unit, and Propane heater. New Carburetor, plugs and wires, fuel filters, and more! However, the roof leaks around the rooftop A/C unit and has caused some damage to the roof. I think that would be REALLY easy to fix, but my hubby is disabled and Sson and I just don't have the time!
It also has a new rebuilt carb and fuel filters. (the dodge engine is AMAZING and probably worth more on it's own than the whole RV would be) It has a tendency to vapor-lock in the heat, and it took us a year to figure out that was what it was doing! You may be able to temporarily rig it with wooden clothes pins to bleed off the heat.
It does need the accelerator pedal put back together (a cotter pin broke) but we may be able to get to that before you pick it up. It WILL run once that is done, and runs GREAT when cool.
The roof AC unit DOES turn on and blow air, but it has run out of freon long ago. It MAY still work, it may not.
The stove and built-in propane heater also may work, but there is a leak in the line somewhere, so we never did hook it up. We used a microwave, a 2-burner electric "hotplate", and other electric appliances to cook and bought a NICE free-standing propane heater. - 9000 btu, 25 lb tank, ventless (no propane fumes), Ceramic heating unit, 99% Efficient and will drive you OUT of that RV if you crank it up!
The ceiling is beginning to sag from the water leak and the whole thing needs quite a bit of interior work, but it would make a GREAT project vehicle and would be EXCELLENT for hunting and fishing trips.

Best of all... we painted the front to look like a Jack-O-Lantern! It is one-of-a-kind-unique. It needed to be painted at some point anyway, so we had a bit of FUN with it and you get the benefit of all OUR hard work!

It's a STEAL at this price, so COME AND GET IT!!!

God is good, even when we don't think so!

Thanks for any help you can give to our family
