1914 REPUBLIC OF CHINA SILVER DOLLAR - YUAN.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: You are looking at a 1914 Republic of China Silver Yuan or Silver Dollar in AU Condition. Excellent coin with really nice luster. It has a few light "chop" marks as you can see on the side of the hear and another on the reverse at about 12 o'clock it looks like a little "o". This coin was minted in .890 Silver. Catalog Number: Y329. Sorry if the shade on some of my items are off color, I use an old flatbed scanner. The scanner's not what it use to be. I’ve provided very large scans of this coin; I have nothing to hide when it comes to the items I sell. I grade this coin as being in AU condition, but please view large size scans to see if you agree. Thank you...Jim.
The item you see in the scans is the actual item you will receive. I do not use stock or static pictures.
Since my opinion of grade may differ from yours, please view scans to base your decision on, thank you. Please check my other auctions for more stuff.
Shipping, Handling to the U.S. is $2.95. I will combine items. Highest cost will apply first, other items will be adjusted.
RETURN POLICY: Simple...If you don't like this item, tell me, and I'll refund your bid amount. I know how it feels to buy a coin, get it home, and decide you don't like it. It's not a good feeling. I've had my share of this feeling over the years. I didn't like that feeling and I know others don't like it. So, the way I see it, if I sold it, I should have no problem taking it back...right? Too many sellers say "no returns" why? You sold it!!! I don't know guess it’s simply my upbringing of treat people the way you want to be treated. Please understand…I’m not a large business and can’t afford to eat the losses of return S+H, Pay Pal fees, nor the cost of sending an item back. I’m basically a “one man band” doing everything from start to finish. I try to provide personal attention to each and every customer. Why? Because I enjoy doing this, I want your repeat business, and I guess I’m just that kind of guy. I’m not looking to “rip off” anyone. I can’t afford to do that. I live on a very limited budget; I need more business, not a quick few dollars. I use a very old flatbed scanner. It doesn’t always do justice to the coins I have, especially coppers. It’s REAL bad on copper coins. I post larger then average scans of the items I sell. Probably some of the largest you’ll find on this site! Plus, a description…sometimes short, sometimes long, depending on the item. Nothing I hate more then a small picture, blurry scans, and no description. Heck…take a minute or two and make me feel good about the item I'm about to buy or considering buying.
A little bit about “ME”. I was born in Bayonne, NJ. I probably started collecting coins like most people from my generation…a penny book 1941 to date! I had a bit of an advantage though; my dad worked in a bank so me and my other five brothers always had coins to look through. It was a fun time collecting in the 60’s. I gave up coins when I went into the military. Started again in 1980 and been hooked ever since. I became more knowledgeable by reading books and attending shows and meeting good dealers that also educated me. I know enough about coins to protect myself and others from a bad buy. I retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1994. During this time I served at Langley AFB VA; Kunsan Republic of Korea, McGuire AFB NJ, Mogadishu Somalia, Germany and the Azores. Best time of my life! Went to work for a computer company and ended up in places like Maine, Florida, Italy, Guam, Korea, Germany, Turkey and again, I enjoyed it all. In 1996 I was diagnosed with SLE Lupus and had to give up all the traveling and then my job, which brings me here to help make ends meet. I was selling on Ebay and had a good business going. But their greed and restrictions forced me away from them again.
