Hi everyone, I'm Chris Fain. The first and most important thing I want to say to all of you is, THANK YOU! You have truly been a blessing to OLA, our employees, our families, and I, and from the bottom of our hearts we mean it! All of us here know and will NEVER forget that if it were not for all of you, there would not be an OnlineAuction.com. We promise to be loyal to you, our customers.

I may be the one who founded OnlineAuction.com, but, I feel funny saying it, because it wasn't just me it's really been all of us. Like most of you, I know what it's like to have a physical business at an obscure address in small town USA. Then because of the miracle known as the internet, in 1997 I started selling more items than I ever believed possible and at higher prices. I have to say it was (and still is) very exciting to watch your selling prices escalate. Or bidding competitively on an auction you want to win. Lets face it, I love and am hooked on the online auction experience.

Here at OLA we really want to be the best and want great things for our members. For instance, we have five different auction formats to create a variety of ways to sell your items. We also have a different auction ending method: OLA is designed so that auctions are scheduled to end at a displayed ending time. However, if there is competitive bidding within seconds of an item's ending, then an auction time extends so the highest bidder wins. This way the seller gets the best price. We have easy monthly or yearly membership rates. Think about it, if you pay almost nothing to sell your item, it means you can sell for less and still make more. This keeps your customers coming back for more.

OnlineAuction.com is different from other auction sites. We don't like to go to a site and see pages and pages of identical listings. That's why OLA allows multiple items listed within one auction listing. Sure, if we wanted pages of identical listings we could break those auctions apart and boom! Auction listing would skyrocket. The reason we don't is simple; we don't want to give our buyers a boring site to look at, with pages and pages of identical items. We also want to give our buyers and sellers a place to trade large quantities of inventory at one point of sale. After all why would we care, we don't charge individual listing fees? Creating a better way of doing business has been our goal.

Since our beginning, the most important thing we have learned is: If you don't have the people behind you then you don't have anything. That's right you can have a better product, but if you think you don't need the little guy then you've made a big mistake! We have learned this lesson by watching our competitors. We weren't the first ones to create an online auction but we are committed to make the world's best online auction.

Some people ask "Why should we sell on your site when there are others where I can list my items on for free?" That's just it...if you think they will always be free, you're dreaming. First of all they probably will not be around long, and if they survive they may do what others have done and raise rates after you become successful. Also be aware if you were the most powerful market place in the world and somebody started to really compete in that market place, it might be smart to help create or fund a bunch of free listing sites to divide and conquer your competition. Remember, if nobody else is successful, sellers would have to swallow their pride and go back to where the better sell-thru rate is.

However, Can you imagine if everyone became a founding member of OnlineAuction.com? There would no longer be any individual listing fees or final value fees (commissions). You would have the ability to sell everything you own for one flat yearly fee. It will revolutionize the online auction world forever. We're not saying we are perfect.

Improvements are taking place, for instance our bulk up-loader and off-line listing tools are being improved and other programs are being written. United we stand. Divided is not an option. I know most of you have tried listing on other sites, so why should you believe this is the one that's going to prove successful? Numbers don't lie.
